I’m asking for your donation
5 May 2022 Thank you for considering making a donation. I started dealing with this topic a good three and a half years ago, when my wife was diagnosed with cataracts and The Triemli Hospital in Zurich would constantly send us exorbitant bills. I was at her last check-up from start to finish and I timed how long it took. First, a doctor carried out eye tests for a good five minutes in total. Then, after a few minutes in the waiting room, my wife was attended to and advised by two doctors for another nine minutes. A total of just over 24 minutes of the doctors‘ time, then. The bill came to 532 francs – an insane 1278 francs per hour. I calculated a fair amount of 82 francs using the standard rate and I fought back – successfully at first – but then found myself being blackmailed. I couldn’t sit back and take that. In vain I asked my health insurance provider to reclaim the additional 450 francs. In the end it came to criminal charges and court proceedings all the way to the federal court – all wasted effort. The whole system is corrupt.
I thought about how I could bring this circus to its senses. Finally, I decided on a website as a tool to launch my two initiatives. I had to pick everything up from scratch. Courses, programmes, print material, consultations and the rest were not cheap. Everything took far too long, as well. Plus, I became ill several times and had to make repeated visits to the hospital. Today I have a walking disability, but I’m still alive.
Now I’m on the final straight and the commotion can really get going. I’ll probably start around July 4, 2022 with an information evening at the Zurich People’s House. Soon afterwards, commuters at the entrance to Zurich Altstetten station and more will find out about my plans.
I am very excited and hope I was able to convince you to make a small donation. I’m grateful for every donation by email!
